My 22nd Birthday

My 22nd Birthday

It was my birthday last week (17th) and I am now 22 years old. I had such a nice day so I thought I’d write a post about it.

What I got for my birthday

This year I asked my family for money as there are a couple things I’m saving up for. I wanted to get my septum done (if you follow me on Instagram you’ll see I got it done the other day) I also want to get some more of my leg tattooed. I did get a couple presents from my mom as well. She got me a slow cooker and a cake. The cake was delicious! And I can’t wait to start using my slow cooker. Joe was so worried about the presents he got for me but they were perfect. He got me some jersey cotton bed sheets I’ve wanted for so long, a new hoodie, stitch socks and a Winnie the pooh t-shirt. He got me some soap & glory body wash, shampoo and conditioner (I’ve never tried their shampoo or conditions so I’m looking forward to testing those). He also got me some malteser truffles which are my absolutely favourite chocolate and a gin gift set. I got some flowers from my mom and Joe and a peace lily from some of friends at work.

What I did for my birthday

This year I just wanted to have a chilled day with Joe. We had a bit of a lie in and then I got ready for the day. I opened my cards and presents and then Joe made us a bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. After that we went to the Sea life centre. Joe has never been and I haven’t been since I was about 10 so I really wanted to go. A while ago a friend at work gave me some of the Kellogg’s adults go free tickets so we had one of those to use. We got there about 1pm and they said they next time people could go in was 1:45pm so asked if we could come back at 2 so we had an hour in a pub. They said that was fine so we and went and sat outside The Malt House for a drink. The weather was so nice that day, perfect weather for sitting outside a pub with a pint of cider. As we had the voucher it only cost us £10 each to go. I really enjoyed walking round and looking at all the sea life. We really liked looking at the octopus, they’re such interesting creatures but they do kinda scare me a little bit. My favourite part was still the tunnel at the end. We spent so long looking through a bit glass at the start trying to get a good picture of the turtle. We then walked through the tunnel and got some good pictures. It was so cool but it felt a lot smaller than I remember probably because the last time I went I was a child. Before coming home we had a lot in the gift shop and bought a fridge magnet.

When we got home we watched some Derry Girls as we’d just started watching it. For tea we ordered a huge Domino’s feast. We had a large meatilicious pizza with stuffed crust, pepperoni dough balls, garlic pizza bread, potato wedges and chick n mix box. It was so filling but so delicious. Then we spent the rest of the drinking watching films and having some drinks.

I really enjoyed my birthday; I spent it exactly how I wanted to.
